Yasmin writes: A healthy turn out of nine riders at Brookside; perhaps early morning sun persuaded riders out? Or maybe it was the promise of Wetherspoons cooked breakfast in Walden?
As we dropped down from Coploe Hill into Catmere End, we were treated to an enormous herd of young fallow deer crossing our path. No sign of the normal older white harts - they must have sensibly stayed in the woods. At least there is good visibility at Catmere End - plenty of time for us to slow down and wait for the deer to cross. Yasmin
