In addition, CTC Cambridge has the following roles:
- Runs secretary: The runs secretary is responsible for planning all the club rides and organising leaders for those rides through the website and email. The runs secretary provides advice and support for our ride leaders, helping to plan routes if needed and helping new leaders get started. The runs secretary is also responsible for managing leader information on the club website, including leader preferences and GDPR compliance, as well as the cafe stops database and the route library.
- Membership secretary: The membership secretary is responsible for managing the club's rider registration procedures and ensuring that they meet the requirements of Cycling UK. The role also involves dealing with local membership enquiries, liaison with Cycling UK about any membership issues, attracting new members, and welcoming new members to the club when they join Cycling UK. This role also checks new and existing leaders against the Cycling UK database and deals with any issues related to leaders' membership, in liaison with the runs secretary.
- Web technical officer: This role is responsible for managing the website and other internet tools used by the club, such as mailing lists. The technical officer works with the runs secretary to publish information about rides on the website and with the web content officer to publish general website content. This is primarily a technical role.
- Communications and web content officer: This role is responsible for creating content, promotional material, information and news to be published on the website and elsewhere, and for ensuring web content is kept up-to-date. This is primarily a writing and editorial role, supported by the technical officer as necessary.
- Committee members: General committee members can provide support in a number of ways, depending on their interests and experience.
