After more than ten years of dedicated work as Runs Secretary, Rupert Goodings has decided that it is time to step down from his role at the AGM in 2027. He has thoughtfully given the Club a few months notice, so that we have time to recruit his successor or successors. He has done an amazing job, organising all the rides, finding leaders and many other tasks and we are all extremely grateful and appreciative. Rupert will continue to go on rides, but without responsibility!
The club now needs to find a successor, or several successors.
Rupert's role could be split into several parts, and so would not be so daunting a prospect. For example one person could do the rides admin, database and ride planning and others could have specific roles looking after the leader database, the stops, the routes or sending out blank rider registration forms.
Please think about whether you would be interested in taking on one of these roles. Rupert has kindly offered to provide mentoring, and ideally members could shadow Rupert for the next few months until the AGM.
