We have a new chair, Fiona Cornish, who replaces David Secher who stood down at our last AGM. A big thank-you to David for chairing CTC Cambridge for five years, having been elected in November 2021. The first AGM he chaired was in April 2023, at which he noted how well the club had recovered from the complications caused by the COVID pandemic, and thanked the committee for their volunteering effort to keep the club running. David is a regular ride leader, and led 48 rides during his chairmanship.
Fiona writes: "I was introduced to road biking by one of my sons, who is a keen cyclist, about 15 years ago, and I enjoy it enormously. I have done several charity rides abroad, e.g. London to Paris, Milan to Venice. Cycling is such a good way of exploring the local area, and very good for my geography too! I really enjoy meeting and chatting to other members of CTC Cambridge on the Club rides." Fiona has been a member of the club since 2019 and is a regular ride leader. Among her ambitions as chair is to encourage more women to join the rides.
