CTC Cambridge

Brookside

The traditional club meeting point is in Brookside, a street on the southern edge of Cambridge City Centre.

See Start point: Brookside for a location map and details of the next ride that will depart from here.

This has been the main start point for our rides since the early days of the club, and the majority of our rides continue to depart from here. We assemble by the bench at the Lensfield Road end of the street, in front of the Hobson's Conduit monument.

Our bench at Brookside

CTC Cambridge made a donation to Cambridge City Council when the bench was replaced in the 1990s. A plaque on this bench proclaims that we have been meeting here since 1921.

We sometimes see other clubs using Brookside as an assembly point, including Cambridge University Cycling Club
