Neil writes: I arrived at Brookside to find three new(ish) members: Helen, her visitor Hilary from out-of-town, and newcomer Ellen. There was no official leader for the ride, so as the only one present who'd lived in Cambridge for more than a few weeks, naturally the task fell to me. As we left Cambridge along Barton Road we were joined by Daniel.
As we approached Haslingfield, we passed a vintage vehicle rally, including motorcycles, tractors and cars. A tractor driver stopped to let us make the right turn onto Chapel Hill. We carried on via Barrington, Shepreth and Fowlmere. I had decided already to follow the most direct route, the B1368, from here to the tea shop, though our progress was slowed a little by a headwind. After tea, we returned the same way, making good speed with the wind behind us now, to Fowlmere, then through Newton, the A10 and the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. My total mileage:

Hare Street and back is a tough ride for beginners so well done to everyone, and especially to Neil for leading.
