Peter writes: I met George at the Park & Ride site at Newmarket Road, taking the National Cycle Route 51 to Quy, Bottisham and Swaffham Bulbeck.
Cyclists' Bridge beside the Road Bridge, Bottisham to Swaffham BulbeckWe had a strong tail wind (think headwind on return). We usually stop at the Green (War Memorial) for coffee, but on this occasion I decided to stop at the Church where there are two seats in the Churchyard (and it was out of the wind). After coffee we carried on over the A14 crossed the Newmarket to Cambridge road and at the A11 to Newmarket road we turned right then left to Dullingham. When we arrived at The Boot, John was already there and we were joined later by Vic and Adrian. After an excellent lunch we started on the return journey (head wind of course). We retraced our route to the Newmarket to Cambridge road then turned left to Bottisham and Quy. I arrived home about 3.45pm, I had ridden 21.8 miles from and back to the Park & Ride site.
